Adding several gamertags on one Xboxlive account

@ OP, so have you contacted microsoft and asked what is wrong with your account?

I have jus signed in to xbox.com and it gave me a b.s. gamertag, I already have an xboxlive gold membership and my gamertag is Bgeezy1982medic and it gave me confusedgamer88 and it wont let me take that off and show my existing membership it jus has that
*** gamertag and it better not mess up when I log onto xboxlive through xbox. I use same email I put in here to sign in and it came up with that gamertag and not the account I already have. WTF and it wont let me update my account on here with my account I

I understand that but the Tag it's self is only useable on xboxlive the account and the xboxlive gamertag are 2 different names as such i can change my name to my my Microsoft account but on xbox live it remains Fur Dragon. The gamer tag is
solely used for xbox live and doesnt affect the Microsoft account in any way.

Do you have a COD account ? Did you link it to your xboxlive account ? When I added the app to my other ipod I used the Xbox option to sign in and it works for me

The gamertag is taken as "JordanChayy" (with no space).
Gamertags can't differ only by spaces, so you won't be able to change to the one you want.

How did you "check if it was available"? If it was any way other than trying to change you gamertag to it, you weren't doing a real check. Methods such as "adding a friend" do not check for spacing variants, but name changing does.
