    Adding parent account without owning an Xbox


    I created a child Xbox account in order to have cross play on PS4 for my child. But whenever they try to play realms, it says I need to change their permissions so they can. Basically, I need to know if I can add a parent account without an Xbox, because
    I guess I overlooked that during account creation. Thank you.

    What would happen to my brother’s Xbox Account if I removed him from my “Family” in the Family Safety settings?

    How can he get a subscription added onto his account for “Xbox Gamepass Ultimate” then? Without having me gift it to him? Since when he is logged in, it says that they can’t even send a request ti the parent for permission & to just go ask politely in person to the parent… but the parent doesn’t have easy access to loading a subscription on without it absolutely needing to be gifted and purchased all in one go. I’m just confused, and I appreciate your help.

    That doesn't help but thanks, the problem is an XBox unnecessary restriction. Once an account is added to the Gold Family pack, the secondary account becomes parentally controlled by the primary account. He isn't a child and I have added no parental restrictions,
    XBox do though. It's a ridiculous limitation

    Custom gamer picture are not allowed on a child account. And if you are under 18 I think it isn't allowed to have your own account without a parent account. But really we all know there are tons of under a8 children with their own account. Hope this reply

    I am also having a similar problem. I have never had a parental account linked to my own, it was always just a parental password associated with my own account. It fills in my own email for the parent account on the xbox when i go to accept it but it wont
    accept my password.
