    so I've been trying endlessly to add my new cc to my xbox one gold and other apps but get denied every time because it says I need to have a card in Arab Emirates, even though I've never lived or had an account there. I live in Sweden, I've also already
    updated the region on the console and Microsoft acc, spoken to tech at Microsoft and then just directed here to ask questions.

    Any help would be great.

    Also to note the subscription failed to renew because I received a new credit card and forget to update info probably making things even harder.

    Hi Jason,

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you are having issues adding payment instrument. In this case, would be best to request a call from support for assistance. They can look as to what the issue is.

    When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:



    • Step 1 ----click on Contact us
    • Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
    • Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next

      Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call

    Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

    Problem Adding Card Payment

    Hi Sir,

    Thanks for replying.

    It is within the pop-up box of the Microsoft Store in Windows 11. I actually talked to my local bank again. It appears that definitely my Mastercard debit card will not be accepted on the Microsoft Store since the system is attempting to do a test payment of +-$1 to validate the card. My bank stated that for debit card preauthorisation payment is not accepted and thus it can never pass this check as is. For my VISA credit card, it is attempting a preauthorisation payment of $0 which is being rejected as this is not a valid transaction. I need to further the latter case to confirm the reason. For what I know as shown from the pop-up box, the system is stating that the details do not match the input ones. I even actually tried to input my home address as per the exact input in the bank's database from the bank's helpline which is shared with VISA or Mastercard but still failed to pass beyond. This seems so weird for a giant like Microsoft to design the system as such. I now remember that in the past long ago, I was successful in proceeding with payment but it was on Windows 10 or earlier. I am baffled and frustrated the numerous times I tried that I am tempted to write to Phil Spencer. I am using my wife's laptop for now as my own PC is broken down but I don't think it should be a problem...

    Latest news, just called my bank and it appears that the reason that my credit card is not being accepted is because I haven't activated International Transactions. I am going to give it a try this evening when I am back home and hopefully it should be ok. I intend to get myself later this year an Xbox and I cannot imagine having this kind of problem.

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums! When you are attempting to enter your debit card information are you doing this in a Microsoft Store "pop-up" box or on the Microsoft account website?

    Thank you so much! Removing the payment method and adding a new one solved the problem. We were able to add the gift card code also.

    We have tried changing the payment method and continue to have the same problem. We have even tried adding multiple new forms of payment but haven’t been successful. For whatever reason, the account will not let us add new cards (credit or debit).
