Adding new account issue

In regards to a full reboot, this can be performed via the steps mentioned here

try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

In addition to the advice given, if you are having issues signing in due to a forgotten password, be sure to visit Outlook.com and click on the Forgotten Password link. From there, steps will be shown on how to make changes.

Thanks for the reply! I understand there is an issue with the Xbox one. I recommend trying a
power cycle
of the console.

If the issue persists, try this:

• Settings > Account > Remove Accounts
  • Check to see if the account is located here
• Remove Account
• Add the account on the Xbox

Try this out first and let us know the results.

Try restarting your xbox, completely unplugging it's power source for at least 30 seconds then plugging it back in.

I've had similar issues with my account and I recommend being connected to a reliable internet source when you try to add your account back.

The only reason I recommend that is because I have 2 stage verification on my phone as well.
