Adding more Gold to Ultimate

I currently have a Ultimate subscription that upgraded my previous 24 month Gold Membership (purchased at Costco).

I was wondering if I'm able to purchase another 24 month card and it will be converted to Ultimate.

You could've set it to not auto renew; thus preventing the loss of funds.

My son had gold through Aug 29th . He was enticed by the $1 ultamate game pass trial . Canceled the pass and list his remaining gold . So he now sits with no live because they wont reinstate his remaining gold pass . He had no idea he was gonna
lose his gold by doing the ultamate pass . Total scam xbox !

This honestly should be in a separate thread, but it can be answered here, too. The offer details state clearly that when the prepaid membership is converted, it is transformed from Gold to Ultimate. So if the Ultimate subscription is cancelled, there is
no other subscription to fall back on.

If you purchase a standard Gold card, it will convert to Ultimate when you add it, but the conversion rate will be different. It converts based on price rather than time. 12 months of Gold is equal to 4 months of Ultimate. So a 24 month card should convert
to 8 months of Ultimate. You can view the full conversion chart in the Game Pass FAQ It will only convert at a ratio of 1:1 if you are converting from
standard gold/game pass to Ultimate.

Game Pass Ultimate INCLUDES a Gold subscription. If your old Gold sub ran out on 08/29 and you bought 1 month of GPU for $1, you should now have a GPU sub that ends on 09/29. You did NOT lose your Gold, it was just converted to GPU. Once that expires, if you
decided not to renew or extend your GPU sub, you are free to go back to just a Gold sub.

He canceled because i wont allow him to have my credit card on his system because he allows friends to play on his account . So we have now lost all Live . Lesson learned on him . He had no idea he would lose his live and im not paying $15 a month . We
buy live on sale on black friday every year .
