adding another xbox one to the house this x-mas (third one)

Gold sharing and game sharing is limited to 2 Xbox's, that is correct. Secondly, achievements and progress are not transferable between account, unfortunately.

Username can be swapped but it is costly. Basically, to get his name another account, you would have to spend $10 to change it to something else (Free up the Gamertag). Then use that username on his new account upon creation.

Unfortunately you can't transfer items among accounts and that includes achievements

Unfortunately you can not transfer game progress and Xbox Live points between accounts.

You will need to have a minimum of 2 Xbox Live Gold subscriptions with three Xbox Ones.

Adding another instance here as well.

I have 2 series X in the same house on the same network, one is brand new and is experiencing this issue. Tried all the troubleshooting and it didn't resolve.

The actual name is Xbox. Then the series name is added for each version for instance series x will be the power house (and most expensive) Xbox then if and when they bring out a cheaper slightly less powerful version it will still be called Xbox followed
by series ? (Maybe S or A) then they may even bring out a third again still called Xbox followed by series D maybe for digital. All guessing at the moment except for the Xbox Series X which is the one thats been announced.
