    Hello folks. I have my own Xbox one with a gold account. My 9 year old son is getting his own xbox one for Christmas and I would like to know if I can add his xbox one to MY gold account.

    All the threads I can find seem to say you can do it on the SAME xbox one but nothing about different ones. He just wants to play his friends on line.

    I have now spent ages with X box one support and they have been useless so I thought that I would give the community a go - usually where the experts are!

    Thank you for any help or advice you can give or any links you can point me to.

    Whats the deal Xbox 360 and Xbox One Live account, is the account a combined account or separate per console type?

    Will I be able to access my existing live account across the two different platforms? Or am I going to be required to create an additional account for my Xbox One?

    You would need to set his console as your Home console in order to share your gold. My Home Xbox Setting on Xbox One | Share Your Xbox One

    You can still access your gold on your console as long as You're signed into Live. However, if there are any other accounts in your family that are using your console, they will no longer have access to your gold.
