    Adding an account to xbox home


    I have two consoles in the house, one is the ‘home’ xbox the other was piggy backing on it. The second (my sons) needs to be deleted as a soft reset was needed and now we have lost the info to restart it. If I create a new account will I still be able to add it to the xbox home account and not lose the games on there ? I understand I would obviously lose skins and progress on various games etc but we can deal with that.

    games are not lost they are linked to the account.

    an account can only be the main account on one xbox at a time, but you can still add this account on several consoles, unfortunately you can't run a game if your account is not the main one, unless it is logged in at the moment.

    Just to be clear. The parent account is designated as the home Xbox account. All the kids were added on as additional users. You redeemed the trial to the parent account? The same account as the Home Xbox account. How long is the trial? Trials can be limited
    so that could be the issue.

    ok we have removed both accounts from both xbox's..

    1/ started on downstairs, added my sons account(live) then added my account, set as home xbox

    2/ loaded up black op 4 on my account. son owns the game, it loaded. thought we was winning..

    3/ went upstairs, added my account, then sons, set as home.. dayz didnt work?

    4/ went back downstairs now bo4 doesnt work on my account.. only got 1 home switch left..

    this was all working fine for months.. so frustrating

    Epic Friends - Cross Platform

    Cross platform will work on the platform not the account.

    On a Windows system you need to make sure all accounts are added to the PC and added into the FAMILY on the PC.

    On the Xbox, the account that has purchased the game will need to be signed in OR have the account that purchased the game set as HOME.

    Try to remove your account from the console then add it again, also check if that account is set as home after adding it
