Adding a person to play on my XBOX one

You might not of played them but friends that you have added on the xbox one will not show on the 360 unless either you or the other person where added via the 360

On the Xbox One when adding someone you don't send them a friend resquest like on the Xbox360, you just follow the person. This person can then in return follow you (which makes you friends on the Xbox One). When adding someone on the Xbox One the person
will get a notification about it in their activity feed which you can see via your console itself, Smartglass and the Xbox App on windows 10.

Hi there SwampyRat02079. To answer your question, yes: Each account does need to have it's own profile in order to play online. Now, here's the thing: You only need the paid Gold subscription on accounts that want to play online or watch Netflix, Hulu, Youtube,
etc. If you want a gamertage that can play games offline but still have a gamerscore and acheivements, then you would do well with a free Silver account.

My son is having the same problem. Someone added him while playing a game and followed him he cant remove or block them. After this person added and followed him our Xbox One wouldn't allow him to continue playing the game and said he had to sign in which
he was already signed in. This system has a lot of problems and Microsoft needs to get them fixed before they get to many complaints like they did with the 360.
