Adding a New User - Xbox One

Hi,

I was able to add my daughter as a new user in our Xbox One but not able to add my son for some reason. The email address I entered is valid along with password but I never do receive any emails with a security code to enter for verification purposes.

Hey BoDEAN,

You should be able to use this link to
sign up for a Microsoft Account.

Once that is set up you can follow these steps on
Signing in to your Xbox One console.

Adding user to Xbox One

I want to add my wife to xbox one profile.

She does not game at all. Would I have to go to live.com, and create an account for her? Then, where on XBOX ONE do I add another user for the console?

Hi

Can you please check your E-mail spam/junk folder just incase your E-mail provider has tagged this as spam. Also have you tried to add a cell phone number to your account to see if the security code can be sent as a text message to you.

If you log in with your own credentials and don't let anyone else log on then your profile should be the only one on the console.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums.

Could you please, elaborate a lil more on what exactly you are attempting to do with this new account?

If the email you are trying to associate with you account is already part of another account, unless you remove that email from that account first, you would be unable to use it on another account.

Additionally, if the email you are attempting to use is part of a Microsoft domain [MSN, Hotmail, Outlook, Xboxfamily, etc.], if you remove that email, it will delete the email, and you would be unable to recover this email.

If you are attempting to recover your account, you can use the
Lost Password Solution wizard and see if this helps with resolving this matter.
