Adding a new profile, but under the same Microsoft account. How do I do this?

it is not possible to have multiple Xbox profiles on the same Microsoft account. Each Xbox account should have it's own Microsoft account.

How do I create a new profile under my account?

Yes, my payment methods were previously added. However, I have used Xbox Game Pass before; this free inclusion with my laptop did not say it was for new subscribers only, but that may well be the problem. I could make a new Microsoft account, but would it still be possible to apply the subscription to the same Xbox profile? There’s no point to me making a new account for this subscription if I can’t use it on the same Xbox account to access my progress and such from my games. If this is possible, how do I do it? Thank you for your help.

That did kind of help. but if i try to make a new microsoft account it always wants to attach a new profile to it. if i dont do that then the profile switching doesnt work. how do i create a microsoft account without it wanting to attach a profile?

Re-adding your profile should work else your best bet is the microsoft support

Same thing happened to my son. We removed and re-added his profile and they were all back.
