Added funds to wrong account. :(

Hi. I have the main xbox account, my 3 kids are added as family members. When initially setting up my son's account I messed up... So now there are two accounts in his name, but he only uses the one. I added funds to the wrong account via PayPal.... We can't use these funds... I contacted PayPal and they can't undo it as it technically I sent the money to that account and it's there... I contacted Microsoft and was told it can't be transferred back.. They suggested buying something as a gift from that account... But it's V bucks or rocket league credits he wants and you can't gift these... Has anyone out there any idea how to either get the cash refunded, moved to the right account, merge the two accounts into the main one... Or anything that can help... Or will those funds just sit forever in that account.... Please help....

Surly there must be some form of refund policy available.. I paid money from my account into an account that I can't use properly.. I tried to order a gift card from that account but you can't use existing funds..! I tried to buy and gift v bucks and other credits for games he would use. But again can't use existing credit... We have game pass so won't be spending any extra on games .. if I close that account where do the funds go.. some one has to be able to help...

Hello Kismet, unfortunately the guidance you received is correct, the only way to use account credits would be to buy some item that can be purchased as a gift for another account.

Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that your son redeemed an Xbox gift card to the wrong account, and you would like the funds to be transferred to the correct account. You would also like to know if game licenses can be transferred
as well. The redemption and use of gift cards (other than Skype gift cards) are governed by the

Microsoft Gift Card Terms and Conditions. The terms and conditions state, "Your Microsoft account balance
is non-transferable to another person or Microsoft account." in section 2.5. The licenses for games are not transferrable as well.

There are options available in this scenario that we can take. The funds on the account cannot be transferred. However, a Microsoft account user can

gift certain items on the Microsoft Store like games to another Microsoft account. The person receiving the gift will get an email with a code for the item. The games that are already on the account cannot be traferred either, but you can use
the home console feature on an Xbox One to share games from one account to another. The article we provided explains more about sharing content and subscriptions through the console. We hope this information helps

The option for depositing money into your wallet has been gone since the points system was removed.

I've used the Paypal and credit/debit card methods as well as the gift cards. I would really like a system where I can deposit as much money as I would like, when I like, into a wallet without having to go to an outside source and then deal with emails and
having to enter codes. I would welcome a clean, streamlined process for adding funds to my account.
