Added funds to parent account, now son cannot use funds. Need help

Hi.i am having this issue now with adding funds to my sons account. Just going around in circles.

No. Once funds are added to your account, they cannot be removed.

The funds would have needed to be redeemed on your son's account in order for him to be able to use them. You can try contacting support to see if they can remove the funds so they can be added to the proper account. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us
Otherwise, you could make a purchase of a game on your account and share it to his account via the Home setting.

Please, make sure the region/billing address set on your Microsoft account is the same region with your Microsoft balance/currency.

Sign in to your Microsoft account and review your info. https://account.microsoft.com/

Select Edit profile info.

Update the info under Country/Region, State, Postal code, and/or Time zone, as applicable.

Select Save.

Then, verify the Xbox Console or PC region, it also should be the same region with your account and Microsoft currency.

To verify it on a Console:

Go to Profile & system > Settings > System > Language & location.

To verify it on a PC:

Windows Key + X > Select Settings > Time and Language > Select Country or Region.

After that restart your device and try to make the purchase again.

The funds are tied to the account the card was redeemed on and cannot be transferred or used by a second account. You would have to add funds to the second account.
