    I got a new Xbox and want to keep my old gamertag and account, but I no longer have access to my old email. I looked up how to resolve this, which showed me how to add a new Alia’s and delete an old one. However, I deleted the old Alias without making the new one my primary Alias. I learned this was a fatal mistake, but I saw that since it was a Gmail account and not a Microsoft domain email that I can use the gmail account on a new Microsoft account. My question is can I keep my old gamertag and friends list by using this gmail on a new Microsoft account? I’m desperate and don’t want to lose 15 years worth of accomplishments. If it helps, I’m still signed into my gamertag on the Xbox app. Please help!

    Hi Rodrigo. I still have access to the account under my new primary. It defaulted to my new primary when I deleted the email that used to control my account. My gamertag and lifetime worth of gaming is under the email I removed from the account before making the new one my primary, so my Xbox profile is no longer under my account since I deleted the old one early if that makes sense. Is there any way to get my old Xbox live account back?

    Change My Xbox Live email

    There is a very simple way of doing this if not done so yet already

    Step 1. Visit http://account.live.com. And sign in with the current Xbox LIVE E-mail that is linked to it.

    Step 2. On the website given above click on Aliases

    Step 3. Add Alias you will be able to make a new e-mail address through this process

    You should then have the option to delete or keep the old alias, or make the new one the primary alias, though in my experience using the alias process you should be able to sign into your xbox live account with all aliases associated on that specific xbox
    account. If you want to just discard the old e-mail from your xbox account in that case it might just be an idea to just make the newly set up one the primary and the old one deleted.
