    Add Mute Your Mic and Mute Everyone to Xbox Accessories.


    I like that you can configure the capture button/share button on the xbox series X/S controller to other things like, for Example: Play or pause media, Quick settings, Launch app, and more! Although these are amazing and all, could you please add Mute Your Mic and Mute Everyone from the party options to this as well! This would allow you to mute you mic within one button click by either tapping, double tapping, or holding the capture/share button Currently, right now I have to open the guide and scroll down to the party and press Y to mute myself or X to mute the party. If you add this extra property to the mapping configuration, tons of time and button presses would be saved.

    This is a request Add Mute Your Mic and Mute Everyone to Xbox Accessories. :)

    In the NXOE that everyone will have shortly there is a quick option to hit Y to mute others or X to mute your own mic.

    If you have not muted your mic physically, then you could be muted on your Parental Controls, by Xbox LIVE (possibly by Xbox Enforcement), or by a game. Does this problem only occur on specific games? Certain games such as Halo: Reach have
    an auto-mute system that will mute you to everyone if you have been muted by enough people.

    Headset: Can hear friends, but mic won't detect my voice. Tried 2 headsets. Kinect mic works!

    Also, if I record a voice message, Xbox says no mic detected; check to see if your mic is muted.

    It's NOT muted!

    Hi everyone, solution here:

    settings -> devices -> accessories -> select the xheadset -> configure -> auto-mute -> select the level you need (I set high).

    I'm translating from italian, so some steps might be inaccurate. Also, I know auto-mute is really counterintuitive for mic sensitivity, but "it is what it is".
