    Add Benchmarker To Xbox PC App?


    Is there any hope or desire to add in a benchmarking tool (similiar to 'Can I Run It?') Into the Xbox PC app for when choosing PC games to install, it can say if we meet the requirements or not?

    It is true the game page gives you the system requirements, however the graphic card / chip set world is not very user friendly for those new to it.

    Maybe the other distributors should do it too. A little button in the app that compares your pc specs to the requirements and says if you can run it or not? Take the "guess work" out of it for the consumer.

    You can go to 'Can I Run It?' and that is pretty trusted, however it would be handy if game distribution platforms also advised it.

    I am just looking at the specs for Flight Simulator 2020, and before downloading 156gb worth of data it would be nice to know if I can run it. Can I Run It says I dont meet the minimum specs, but all the options are green ticked to say I meet them (ignoring
    the advert saying my graphic drivers are 29 months out of date!) so not sure if I do or dont.

    Hi,

    I can't see why there would be a need for this. None of the other game distributor's have such tools either. All the games on the Game Pass have their system requirements page which is quite informative. This information will tell you if your system meets
    the minimum/recommended requirements.

    Bench marking is something the developer needs to put in their games, some games already have this functionality. Third party tools like 'Can I run it' should still provide accurate info on whether a game will run on your PC or not.

    Out of interest, what game or games are you interested in?

    Hi,

    I had an inkling your hardware question with Game Pass would be about FS2020. I can tell you honestly, you don't meet the minimum requirements. The biggest issue is your laptop's MX 130 graphics processor.

    The minimum GPU for this game is a GTX 770, a graphics processor that is at least 3x more powerful than the hardware in your machine.

    I know the interest in this is huge, but this is a very demanding game. I can just about get 60fps on high at 1080P and I've got a i7 8700, 16GB RAM and an RTX 2080 graphics card. My PC cost me about £1,400 ($1,850).

    A laptop that could play this game at medium to high settings would cost at least $2,000

    Thats not true at all. It has let me install several games that I then did not meet the minimum requirements for.
