    Add an option to change video output for remote play


    Hi,

    I had this suggestion,might be stupid.My series X is hooked up to a 720p display while my phone has a 1440p display.When ever using remote play the console is streamed at 720p,would be lovely if there was option to change the display output when using remote play.

    Remote play changes the resolution and output for maximum efficiency and performance. That includes disabling HDR

    Hi, try changing the HDMI output option from Auto Detect to HDMI, then go back to the video output menu and try selecting 1080p. If the HDMI output is already set at HDMI then try changing that to Auto Detect.

    As far as I can remember, Netflix on Xbox 360 had the option to change sound output (stereo or surround) once you had begun playing a video that supported both? Pick a recent movie to test this with; play it and then bring up the controls for subtitles,
    etc and check if there is the option to switch sound output.

    It may or may not be the same for the other apps you're having this problem with.

    When you go to the output video option and change the resolution to 640 x480 the picture works but is very small and when the HDmi option is displayed, a blurry picture appears

    I would just like to add that this is the same for the 50Hz option. As 50Hz is the standard for PAL TV broadcasts in Europe, the 50Hz option is there to allow 50Hz content to play correctly on the console. More specifically, to allow the video to play without appearing juddery/choppy as it would if the output was locked to 60Hz. Also keeps the audio in sync.
