Achievements not update/unlock in games on Win10

Been having similar problems with the achievements not synching on the Win10 version nor unlocking when the requirement was met. Just finished the WP version of the game, but now the Win10 app is broken the game won't log me in at all.

Apparently Quantum Break in Win10 is fully synced with the One, meaning that your game progress, including achievements, will be identical regardless of the platform you play on (assuming you sign in with a common gamertag/microsoft account). Accordingly,
you might be able to "unstick" broken achievements by playing on the One.

This is different than Rise of the Tomb Raider where the Win10 and One versions have separate (albeit identical) achievement lists. I have broken achievements on the Win10 version but 100% on the One.

Personally, I wish they had kept separate lists for the Win10 and One versions of Quantum Break. I like doubling up achievements. It also made the free code for the Win10 version worthless to me because I had already fully played the game on the One.

Unfortunately, your problems with different games/achievements just further confirm that this problem has something to do with the achievement system linked to Win10. I wish MS would figure this out or at least work out a support system so that they can
unlock stuck achievements when they can confirm that they should be unlocked. It's been almost 6 months now with no technical solution from MS.

I'm having same / similar problems. I have no problems on re-downloading my WP games but I do have problems on any other platform besides WP to show the achievements unlocked.

I have unlocked achievements on my Lumia 950 running windows mobile 10. The achievements pop up just fine and sites like trueachievements track them without a problem, BUT on my win10 machine the "xbox companion app" doesn't show these games or the unlocked
achievements.

Say I play a game X on xbox one and after that a game Y on Win10 and after that game Z on windows phone. Unlocking achievements on all of those games.

When I then view the xbox companion app, I see it listing my previously played games Y and X, but no Z. It also doesn't show any of the WP games on my games list etc.

I can play numerous different WP games, unlocking achievements or not, it just doesn't list any of them. Also I don't get any "achievement unlocked" notifications on Win10 when I unlocked them in WP games, but win10 and xbox one achievements do give me
the notification.

tl;dr Only WP shows the games and achievements unlocked for WP games. Other platforms completely ignore these.

EDIT: I also find it very morally dubious for MS to still sell these games on the market place when at the same time people are complaining the games/achievements are not working anymore only to get that passive-agressive "well we told you YEARS ago that
the support is coming to an end" copy/paste response from Ambassadors.

EDIT2: I've also noticed that for those older Win8 games with achievements the game bar's achievement tracker says "this game doesn't have any achievements" when they clearly do have. I wonder if this is somehow related?

Thanks for staying on this QuickMythril. It seems that only maddog687 was the only one (on TA anyway) lucky enough to get most of the Endurance achievements before the patch that ruined everything. (That's what he told me when I messaged him.)

I've been pushing for a fix for the Xbox on Win10 version from Windows Store, which has a whole different achievement problem. You can be playing and occasionally achievements won't unlock when they should have and after that there is NOTHING you can do
to get it unlocked - uninstall/reinstall, clear the store cache, start a new game, even run the game on a different pc and do the same thing and it won't unlock.

Unlike the 360 glitches you're dealing with, this is definitely a system problem - it can affect any achievement so different players have this issue with different achievements. It will take someone at MS who really understands how achievement unlocks
are triggered from Win10 games to figure this out. I only know that once it happens to a particular achievement for a particular MS account/gamertag, that gamertag can never get the achievement to unlock thereafter.

I believe this may also be happening with other Win10 games as well.

It's a BUG!!

If you've played game on win8 version having 5gold medals and upgrade os to win10, install the game, everything seems fine, you can see 5gold medals sitting there and some achievements carried over. But if you RETURN to win8 and got another 3gold medals,
unlock Go for the XYZ, Gimme 5!, Marathon achievements, then head to win10 version, achievements DO NOT CARRY OVER, and these achievements will be GLITCHED.
