    Achievements got unlocked by a cheater in Black Ops 2 multiplayer - what happens now?


    So about 30 minutes I was playing Multiplayer on Black Ops 2 and I was searching for TDM matches. Pretty straightforward, I got into a match, then I saw a pop-up saying "Unlocking Achievements" after about 5 seconds of joining, which was obviously done by
    a cheater in the lobby. I tried to leave as soon as it showed up but there were 4 achievements that were unlocked. Can I get into trouble for this or is there a way this could be undone? I'd hate to get my Gamerscore reset because of what some modder did in
    a random BO2 lobby.

    M3tal Daze, you see, I wasn't the one that unlocked those achievements, it was modder/cheater on a game of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

    Unfortunately there's really not much that can be done. There is no way to remove specific achievements. Achievements can only be removed with a gamerscore reset. Whether or not you will get a gamerscore reset is hard for anyone here to say though.

    Unfortunately there's really not much that can be done. There is no way to remove specific achievements. Achievements can only be removed with a gamerscore reset. Whether or not you will get a gamerscore reset is hard for anyone here to say though.

    I like black ops.

    I will say Owen deserves a job at MS on the enforcement team. Since I have taken notice of him he has caught at least 2 dozen cheaters.

    Now as far as the OP goes, you do have a modded achievement for Black Ops 2. The Welcome to the Club achievement for reaching rank 10 in multiplayer was earned offline. Its impossible to do that. I would report you but I am sure Owen already has.

    Why is Black OPS....

    He is what happened. I put Black OPS into my 360. Started up like it always does. Before it got to the screen to select "Campaign, Multiplayer" I got the "Disconnected from Xbox Live". Then the download screen came up and said "Please wait while update is
    applied"

    After which Black OPS goes directly to the multiplayer screen. Now if I try playing Black OPS or go back to the Dashboard. I get disconnected from Xbox Live.
