    Achievements Displaying Japanese Text


    This is a curiously intermittent issue on the Xbox App on Windows, as on Windows Phone 10 and the Website; the Achievements show in English as I'd expect.

    However for some reason my Achievements and those on my Friends List have a habit of showing up in Katakana Japanese and I'm somewhat baffled as to why... as for example Gear of War 4, when it was release; all the achievements were in Japanese; no idea what
    the heck I was unlocking.

    Now, it's all in English.

    Ori, Everspace, Guardians of the Galaxy, Batman (Telltale)... all in Japanese.

    Recore, Forza 6: Apex, Killer Instinct, Halo Wars, Halo Wars 2, Fallout Shelter, Gears 4, etc. all in English.

    Like this is perhaps the most irritating aspect is, it's inconsistent; but again it's not like I bought them while in Japan, or that has ever been where I've set my Console / PC Settings, etc. it's just so random.

    If someone knows how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated; else I might have to learn some basic Japanese just to know WTF I'm unlocking.

    Metal Gear Rising Japanese Demo to be released on the 13th December 2012

    It has happened. Like, Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit in Japan got a demo with Japanese audio/text only, and then the international was English dub/text.

    -

    A very few demos have Japanese/English on the XBL JPN Marketplace, and the exclusive Japanese Xbox 360 scramble my mind on what the hell they're about. It's just text and pictures. x_x

    When the gamer pictures links me to a bunch of Japanese text, I'm assuming I can't get it? (Though I've found Japanese-only games in the demo section before...)

    Yes i know the audio is in Japanese, but all the text even on the menus its on Japanese two, the region its US and im playing it on PC with the game pass

    You can get Virtua Striker from the Japanese Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 MSP, if you really want it.

    And yeah, the text's in English, though some like warnings are in Japanese.

    It seems to me that each version is a separate version, for example for the achievements of the Japanese version, you will need the Japanese game.

    For the achievements of the Xbox 360 version it's the same, these are not considered the same as the Xbox One version.
