    Achievements are no longer unlocking or tracking


    Last weekend I was playing Rise of the tomb raider and Worms W.M.D but I did not realise my profile was set to appear offline until after about an hour of playing, I set it back to appear online and continued to play for the rest of the evening.

    The next day I realised none of the achievements I should have earned had unlocked, so I checked the help section and hoped that after 72 hours everything would sync. Unfortunately this was not the case.

    I then tried power cycling my console and went back to Worms. I finished a few more training missions and unlocked 1 achievement so I tried to unlock 1 that I should have gotten but nothing happened. I deleted my local save data and re-synced with the cloud
    to see if that might help but still the achievements will not unlock

    Today I went back to RotTR and the game could not sync my cloud data until trying 4 times. Started playing the 20th anniversary dlc and tried unlocking the achievements again but still nothing, progress does not show in the achievement tracker either.

    I then tried deleting my gamer profile, power cycling then adding my profile back and playing the game again but this has not worked either. My network connection is good, NAT is open and everything else is good.

    From reading similar posts from others experiencing this problem the next step is to factory reset my console but this seems to only work for 1 achievement before stopping and being required to do it again.

    Is there anything else that I can try to eliminate the problem?

    Achievements not posting

    I and a friend are having the same issue. Multiple games, testing different achievements (including extremely simple ones), nothing unlocking. In fact, for achievements with progress tracking no progress is being tracked either. Seems to be only Xbox One
    (360 works, haven't tested Win8 or Win10 achievements). All steps have been followed, nothing.

    Hitman (2016) achievements not unlocking

    I have already tried everything suggested in that article, and other games are unlocking achievements without problem so it appears to be a game specific issue.

    Edit: Also, some achievements do seem to be tracking, but story related ones (that should be unmissable) aren't unlocking.

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently unable to unlock an achievement on your account.

    The tracking and unlocking of this achievement have been removed from the Xbox One.

    Although you may have a code, and have discovered alternate means to track this, there would still no longer be a way to effectively unlock this achievement onto your account.

    I'm sorry about any confusion or turmoil this might have caused.

    Just started playing this yesterday and I'm having the same issues - did all challenges of a whole month (which unlocked the perfect achievement) but Marathon and Gimme 5 didn't unlock and are not tracking as well.
    None of the Achievements tracked by me... What is this ****?

    Today I unlocked "Greed Over Need" for Diablo 3 (Xbox One), achievement appeared to unlock fine and shows as unlocked in the Xbox Live website, but my GS didn't increase. After laboriously adding up all of my games manually, I am short of the corresponding
    25G. At the suggestion of Xbox Support I have cleared my cache and alternate MAC address, which didn't help. Any one else having issues at the moment?

    I know it is an older post, but I finally figured out the problem I was having with achievements and tracking. Here is the solution that worked for me (in case anybody else needs the information).

    In a nutshell, it was my ad blocker. I run pihole (https://pi-hole.net/)
    on a raspberry pi as a network appliance to block advertising. By default, it has a pretty aggressive blacklist, and I needed to add a few domains to the whitelist. (I had done this in the past, but things must have changed on the Xbox One recently.)

    What led me to finally look at this was a message I received on the Xbox One when signing in the other day. I don’t remember the exact wording, but was similar to “Local cache is almost full. This
    can affect achievements stats and leaderboards”. When I held the guide button down, it took me to the Network part of the settings application. Then a quick search on Google brought me here:

    When I compared my whitelisted domains with the ones recommended in the “Xbox Live” section, I was missing a few. Once those were updated, everything on the console started to work as expected.

    Hopefully this is able to help somebody else who may run into the same problem.

    And for the record, I am not getting rid of pihole ... that is a great piece of software, and worth the effort to keep it up to date.

    Sign out of everything. Hard restart your consoles and internet connection. And turn off your computer after you sign out of everything. Wait 5 mins. Bring your main console on first and sign in and see if they unlock or update to correct the tracking
