Achievements are down... again

So I was earning achievements fine today, when suddenly two of them for finishing metro 2033 redux didn't unlock for me. Then I checked xbox live status and there of course was an alert. The alert was completely unrelated to xbox one achievements, but this
is probably the fourth or fifth time that this has happened recently. It seems that whenever there is a service alert, regardless of what it is about, the xbox one achievements system stops working until the alert is cleared. I'm assuming this has something
to do with the fact that the achievements app can only be used while connected to xbox live, but this seriously needs to be addressed, because there have been a lot of small service alerts recently and I'm assuming there will be some issues when destiny is
released, as well as when the next cod and halo games come out, as there always is due to so many people playing at once. I don't want to have to avoid playing xbox every time there is a service alert, but most of the time the only fix that works to unlock
these achievements is to re-install the games that they didn't pop for, which takes way too long. Everything else on my xbox one works fine during a small service alert that says it only affects one app or game, except for my achievements app, which always
says "something went wrong" whenever I try to launch it during any service alert. Can someone please fix this?

Yep, i have unlocked achievements as normal.

Give your console a reboot, re-download your profile etc, all the usual maintenance tricks.

Futhermore, it gives me an error code to report to "help" them research it. Every time I have tried to "help" the error code doesn't exist when I type it in. Everything is ALWAYS broken...

 

Update: The current service alert just updated and is actually addressing the achievements issue now, hopefully this will fix it for all future service alerts too.

 

I have limited opportunity to earn achievements, and I hope the 2 I have earned today are not 'lost' due to this extraordinarily unreliable service. Last time I had 8 hours to spend was over New Years weekend, and I think XBOX live was offline for most
of the time I had available to use the service.

Yeah I'm glad that I should be able to restart from my last checkpoint to re-acquire the achievements I didn't unlock because of this, but now I have to wait and refresh the status page every half hour to see if it's fixed yet

 

Well, I just lost 2 cheevo's on Diablo RoS, and I just went and played from the last checkpoint, and nothing popped, just sitting there at 100% but not given. So I wouldn't hold out any hopes of just replaying the last checkpoint. I'm about to replay the
entire that entire last act and see if that helps, but alas I ain't going to hold my breath.

 

Yeah, I'm having the same issue with Diablo. I finished Act 5 last night and have 3 achievements sitting locked at 100%. I've replayed about 5 times and gotten 3 more achievements since last night when the issues were going on and haven't gotten these
*locked* achievements yet.

 

Just to throw in my two cents as well. I was playing Stick it to the Man yesterday, fulfilled the requirement for two different achievements, nothing happened. Saw the alert (after the fact). Tried re-playing the level from scratch to get the two achievements
and nothing pops. I tried getting other achievements that I had not got yet, and those are working fine.

These two I didn't get don't show as 100% but the requirements have been met several times. Is this just going to be another "wait until they eventually show up" type deal? Or is there any more "active" fix for this problem. Very frustrating...

 

Diablo challenge is sitting at 100% and not unlocking. Same with around 8 other achievements. The challenge is concerning due to it only having about 12 more hours Untill it expires.

 

my diablo 3 achievements for Above & Beyond and trade in didn't unlock for me. it shows that they are completed but are still locked. hopefully they will unlock when i get on later today to play. after the alert was over i did get two more achievements,
but these two are still locked even though they are shown to be completed.

 

I have around 6 achievements I unlocked yesterday in Halo Spartan Assault that have yet to unlock. I got 100% in them and nothing. Though after the achievement issue was fixed, I unlocked other achievements, but these are still locked at 100%, even as of
now.

 

Im having the same problem with achievements sitting at 100% on diablo 3 and not unlocking. I hope there is a fix for this soon otherwise the only thing I can think of to fix it is to completely wipe all my saves for this game and start from scratch. Even
then it might not work.

 

Yeah I also have 5 achievements for Diablo that are 100% and not popping due to the error yesterday...

 

Anyone got any news on this just been through to support and was told to post one here for my diablo cheevos
