Account wont run games

My friends account for some reason wont run games anymore. He plays games like Minecraft and sea of thieves but these wont work now after updating the launcher for Minecraft. A while ago he migrated his Minecraft account to a Microsoft one as the launcher tells you to, the a little while later (maybe a month or two) there's an update for the launcher. After updating the launcher, he finds he can no longer load Minecraft or any other game on the account( the account worked between migrating the account and updating the launcher). He also noticed the name on the account was wrong, he made an Xbox account to play sea of thieves, Minecraft then became a Microsoft game. Minecraft is now using the Xbox to log in (I don't know if this is normal as I have not migrated my account) and used the sea of thieves name rather then the Minecraft name. [logging into Minecraft on the Mojang website does connect it to the correct username though]. It also may be worth mentioning that he also recently changed the email he uses to login to Minecraft from an old one with a different name to a new one with a new name (we don't know if this has any relation though). The issue started after the update where the first launcher wouldn't download and he found the solution was downloading it from the Xbox store rather then the Microsoft store, which worked in getting the launcher open but that's when he found the login problem (again i don't know if this is worth mentioning I'm just trying to give as much relevant info as I can). Google searches only say to shut off the firewall and stuff that doesn't do anything.

Hopefully that all makes sense, we have tried everything we can think of and have accomplished nothing

Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

Open Accounts

Click Sign-in Options

Scroll down to Privacy

Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

Restart your PC!

-Install Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022 on x86 and x64 architecture (if your processor has x64 architecture, install both, not just one)

Tip: If it shows that it's already installed, select the option to remove it. Then install both again. But it is necessary to remove previously.

-Install Visual Studio 2013 on x86 and x64 architecture (if your processor has x64 architecture, install both, not just one)

Tip: If it shows that it's already installed, select the option to remove it. Then install both again. But it is necessary to remove previously.

-Install Visual Studio 2012 on x86 and x64 architecture (if your processor has x64 architecture, install both, not just one)

Restart the system, reinstale the game and test.

this is what i get whenever i run it. not just this certain game, almost every single game i play

i'd appreciate it if someone could help me as its my summer break and i was really looking forward to playing games before school opens ;(

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step please try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

If the issue persists, please select Settings > Network > Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate Mac address : CLEAR > Restart.

Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2 to 3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.
