Account was hacked and apparently deleted

Unfortunately, my son entered the one-time code that Microsoft sent him to log into his account on Discord, and now his account appears to have been deleted, as he can no longer log in. However, it doesn't seem to be completely gone, because when I check with his email, it doesn't say "account doesn't exist," but rather: "No problems found."

We can't find any chat or direct contact with Microsoft. So how could he get his account back? His entire Minecraft empire seems to be gone, and he's heartbroken. Does anyone have any ideas?

Apparently, someone tried to hack the account and failed to get in. MS then asked me to go in and reset the password.
