Hello there!

Try using a different method of verification attached to the account. If there is none or it doesn't work simply contact Microsoft. Once you call you can verify certain account credentials with them and they can reset it for you instantly! Best of luck!

Since he has your account details he could reset your password for you, so please put 2 step verification on your account as well.
