(Account suspension) Question about getting code.

My account was temporarily banned and the only way to gain access (unless I'm overlooking something) is to receive a code via text. I don't have a cellphone. Is there any sort of alternative like using a home phone? If so, how would I go about
doing that?

Question about a forced gamertag change.

Unfortunately there's nowhere to ask them questions like this. They only respond to the account/console suspensions forums, but will only answer questions about why an account has been suspended.

I believe you may be referring to a suspended or blocked Microsoft account that happens when someone tries to hack your account to steal personal information. When Microsoft suspects someone that is not you is trying to access your account, they suspend
it to prevent anymore hacking attempts and will require you to verify your account using your security information, hence why it needs to send a verification code to the security number on file. You may also choose an email option if that is an available option
for your account. There is no way to use an alternative number or email for security purposes. Verification codes are only sent to the security options that are on your account. You would need to update that on your account if there were any changes to your
security information since you created your account.

If you have a recovery email adresa i believe that would also be another way to unblock your account. If you are referring to a temporary suspension for breaching xbox live terms of use then i would recommend visiting the enforcement website for more information.
You would have got notified by xbox in a message if you received a suspension.
