Account suspended after being harassed over xbox communications

You only get a suspension if you violated the code of conduct. It doesn't matter who started it, if you respond you leave yourself open to being reported. In future report, mute, block and do not respond to toxic gamers.

Never respond to harassment, it only causes more problems. If you get harassed or bullied, just report and block them.

Report a player

To report a player who has behaved in an inappropriate way or posted inappropriate content:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, go to People, and then select the gamertag you wish to report. If the player is not a friend, select Recent players, or select Find someoneand
   enter the player's gamertag to search.
2. From the player's profile, select Report or block.
3. Select Report.
4. Select one of the following reasons for the report:
   • Player name or gamertag: The player's name or gamertag is inappropriate.
   • Cheating: The player used unauthorized modifications or attempted to gain an unfair advantage in multiplayer gaming.
   • Player picture: The player’s gamerpic is inappropriate.
   • Voice communication: The player used inappropriate, abusive, or threatening language in voice communications.
   • Unsporting behavior: The player didn’t show good sportsmanship.
   • Quitting early: The player frequently quit multiplayer games to avoid losing.
5. Select Add comment to provide more information. When finished, select Report.

Report a message

To report someone who has sent you an inappropriate text or voice message:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to bring up the guide. Navigate to Communication, and then Chats or Message requests.
2. Highlight the offensive message, and then press the A button and select Report message.
3. Select the reason for the report (message or spam).
4. Select Add comment to provide more information if desired. When finished, select Report.

Messages in Club chat can be reported to either a Club admin or to Xbox. If the message doesn’t belong in the Club, select Club admin. If the message violates the Code of Conduct, select Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement Team.

You'll have to sign in from a different Microsoft account and pick an option in support that will allow you to request a call. They initially told me they couldn't tell why I was suspended then after a few hours they said I was permanently suspended for harassing other players through written or verbal communications on Xbox Live. I don't have a problem with punishment but being permanently suspended after only receiving communication bans is wild. I could've learned my lesson with a 1 or 2 week suspension from Xbox live easy.

The enforcement team does not use the forums. If you already submitted a case review and they upheld their decision, there is nothing else you can do. Investigations do take time so both suspensions could be for actions that took place weeks ago.

My account was suspended till October for harassment while I was communication banned, Both of these bans happened while I was not on the account, I had a friend who was swearing and threatening people over a game, I went to log onto the account and now
