Account sign in issues, Constant asking for Parent Permission

you need to have him sign on here at xbox live, then sign in with your parent account info and give permission to your son, you will be asked for a credit card to verify you are an adult

The Parent account will have to give the permission to do this .....Ask your parent to log onto that account and change the settings...

I am caught in a cycle of the above problem. I am a degree educated IT manager and I cannot still get this to work.

I log into my childs live account and get:

"You need a parent's permission
Before you can sign in to this Microsoft account and use it with Microsoft websites and services, you need a parent's permission. If your parent is available now, ask them to sign in to this PC."

I click 'have a parent sign in' and get:

"We were unable to sign you in

Your account is missing a full name or date of birth. Visit account.live.com to update the required information, then try again."

I have paid for Live subscription and it is absolutely unacceptable to have no service!

Yes your Microsoft account and Xbox account is only one. Since Xbox is just part of Microsoft services so it is tied to one Microsoft email account.

For the parent permission, try signing in on the link I provided. If you cannot sign in and it is asking for a permission then that means your account is a child. But if you can properly sign in, meaning your account is not a child. Kindly let us know how it goes when you tried signing in.

Sounds like you have a child account, and the parental account also needs to accept the Terms of Use. Try signing in with the parental account first, accept the terms of use, then sign in with the child account. When it asks for parental permission, use
the parental login credentials, then confirm acceptance of the terms of use with your credentials.
