account question linking two accounts

Nicky, there is no way to link two accounts, okay? This function does not exist. As for the account, if you forgot the information, you would only be able to log in on it if you remembered, or at least if you found the email associated with it. You could find the email by entering all the emails and see which one would have Xbox emails etc. Or you could try to log in on the Xbox website and see which account succeeds After that you would just need to recover the password.

As stated on the Xbox website:

" Go to xbox.com and try signing in with the email address that you think is associated with your Microsoft account.

If you can sign in, the email address and password you entered are valid. The gamertag that’s associated with this email address will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen.

If you can’t sign in, check your other email inboxes for messages about your Xbox subscription or Xbox offers. This may help you determine which email address is associated with your Xbox profile.

If you still haven’t discovered your email address, try the steps on the following page:

This is truly the only way to solve this, okay? But please, keep in mind that even if you manage to retrieve this lost account, accounts cannot be linked okay? So this lost account and the new one will not be able to be linked.

Do you guys have two different consoles or just one?

If you guys share a console then nearly all games can be used by any account on the console the game was purchased on. This is the way the licenses work. You get two licenses when you pruchase a game, one for the console(so any profile on that console can
play it) and one for the account that purchased it(so the account can play the game on any console, once its connected to Xbox Live).

This is all explained in the "useage rights" section when you are purchasing the game.

I'm afraid there is not way to link or merge two (or more) Xbox Live Accounts in to 1 account.

You will have to get access to that original Microsoft Account to get access to that Xbox Live Account, maybe the steps or links on this page will be able to regain access to that MS account:

That link will have all options on how to try and get access again to the account up to contacting Xbox Support.

The answer to the first two questions is a simple yes.

For the 3rd question, if you remove your account from the console, set your new console as the home console, the gamertag should no longer linked to it.
