Hi,

I bought my son an xbox 3 years ago.

i set him up with an xbox account under my email address.

So he has now played xbox for 3 years, bought games, has achievements and all that good stuff.

I now want to give him his own account in a family setting.

So I have set up a new email address fro m him @outlook.com and I want to transfer his profile to this email address so he can keep all his friends connections etc etc.

I have looked into how to do this but cant see it anywhere.

Surely this would be a common enough thing to happen.

I have seen this under Microsoft support, But when I go into billing options, I dont see a licence trasnsfer anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I transfer my Xbox profile to another account?

Here's how:

On your console, sign in to Xbox Live using the gamertag that you used to purchase the content.

Go to the Settings and then select Account.

Go to Your Billing Options, and then select Licence Transfer.

Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer the content licences.

You can't transfer Xbox accounts to another Microsoft account (this is what you want). It's not possible.

You CAN change the login email but you CAN'T change it to an Outlook or Hotmail or Live email since those are Microsoft emails.

Your son will have to either keep this account he's on or start fresh on a new account. He can keep his games and most DLC by using the

my home xbox feature to share games to a new account but any progress can't be moved in any way.

It isn't possible to transfer accounts. You can change the email address, there are risks that by deleting the existing email address, it will delete your account.

No. Nothing can be transferred between accounts.

Games and data are tied to the account that bought them. They can not be moved. You can however set the account who OWNS the games as Home on his Xbox so he can still play them.
