account needs verifying, but form says not enough information

thanks , ive tried to get chat but no joy , most subjects get no option for chat or web chat

the one that does says currently unavailable , try later, every time. im in the uk .

Hello Chris, if you are referring to the account recovery form, if you were unable to recover your account in this case you should contact Xbox Customer Service via chat and request an ATO (Account Takeover), this is because this forum is public viewing and unfortunately as independent consultants we do not have access there is some data and procedures that Xbox Support has.

However, ATO is a similar procedure to the online form, but done by a Microsoft agent, it will need as much information as possible for you to do the procedure.

Here in the community we are independent consultants, so we do not have access to the same information and tools that support has.

Each account recovery case is unique, and if you request the ATO, you must wait for a response from Microsoft's investigation department.

When you say he sent a form to recover it was he talking to a Xbox support agent at the time and did they have him create a new account and ask him questions about the original account to verify ownership of the account? and once that was done the form would
be sent to an escalations team who would look over things and if they verify ownership of the account they would of transferred everything over to the new account.

Or did you just go onto account.microsoft.com/acsr and try and fill that form out and they sent a response saying that he did not provide enough information?
