Account locked also payment method

Hello,

Microsoft are obviously no use at all, so I thought I would ask the community.

1. My account was locked 2 years ago, despite confirming my account numerous times they simply refuse to unlock it, so I have accepted that everything I bought is now gone and I have made peace with the theft of my purchases.

2. I made a new account and wanted to start purchasing, but the paypal account I would like to use is the same one that was in use in my locked account so yep you guessed it Microsoft have blocked that from being used as a payment method.

At this point it's really just a funny case for people to chat about, so feel free to give me any advice or just read my story and nod in weary comradeship.

I am very sorry that you are going through this situation. Here are some steps you could follow to try to resolve these problems:

Microsoft account unlock

Sign in to account.microsoft.com to get a security code

You can use any phone number to request the security code

You may need to create a new password, for added security estimated, recommended

If you still can't unlock your account after entering your security code or changing your password, visit "When you can't sign in to your Microsoft account"

Using PayPal as a payment method

Sign in to your Services subscriptions and with your Microsoft account

Look for the subscription in the list, you can't miss it

Select Administrator >
Modify > Change and then choose the new frequency

If you don't see this option, make sure recurring billing is turned on.

If you have an overdue balance, select Pay Now

Selecting Change payment method will give you a list of current payment options

If you don't see the option you want, select Add a new payment method from the list and follow the instructions.

Create a child account and lock the adult account with passkey or password. This separates the accounts so children can't access payment methods.

vpns wont work (also billing error if you have outdated payment method but usually a regional error ) and yes it is region locked

That makes no sense though. The last time I got gold I'm pretty sure was with a card. So one it makes no sense for them to keep trying to bill my payment method after my card subscription stops and also it makes no sense for me to have some kind of balance
I owe them with my account now locked.

Also I realize that. However my account is completely locked from accessing the internet at the moment so I cant even watch twitch. Its either I change my payment method or I go completely offline.

BogusComic856 you can also contact Microsoft Billing Support to discuss it with them, they may have blocked payments on your account for security.

I had this happen to me and no payments would be accepted as they had locked the billing side of my account for security and it took them about a minute to lift the block once I confirmed who I was and then I could add payment methods on my account again.
