Account Link Issues - EPIC / XBOX Live mixed up ?

Hello,

i have a special question. It may be a little difficult and because of this i first want to explain the situation and the facts.

We - my son and i - play on Xbox One X

We both have an xbox live account.

We use xbox live gold family sharing on this box, my account owns the live gold an my son is using it on the console with his "normal" live account.

Now we are playing also Epic`s Fortnite and therefore we both have an Epic account.

My son`s Epic account was linked to his xbox live account when i created it.

I didn`t link the xbox to my epic account until now.

I already proofed which Epic Account is linked to which xbox live account.

Epic shows clearly that my son`s xbox live account is connected to his epic account (correct name/gamertag linked)

I installed fortnite for iOS two days ago and when i log on with my parents account there is no profile or any progress i have on the xbox one.

But using my son`s account he has all his progress on the smartphone.

Ok seems not have linked my xbox live to my Epic must be the reason... i thought!

But wrong ....I am not able to link my Epic account to the Xbox, caused by the issue that there can be only one xbox live acount linked to an epic account.

Using the same Xbox console should not be the problem as long the accounts i am using to link between Epic and xbox live are different.

For now i do not understand why it doesn`t work.

My be the link Epic <--> xbox live must aim to an xbox live GOLD account and the only one on the console is mine and they grabbed my gold account instead of my son`s account?

But then my son`s progress should not be available on the smartphone, as he has no GOLD account...?

Epic support always tells me to contact microsoft if there are issues with anything concerning xbox accounts and vice versa.

So how can we find the mistake if it`s an Epic oder an MS or if i was wrong?

Thanks for reaching out to us! When it comes to linking your Xbox Account (GamerTag) to your Fortnite account (Epic Games account), each GamerTag/profile can only link to one Fortnite account. If you are able to sign into Fortnite on your device with your
son's Xbox account and his Epic account and view his progress then that is normal. However, if you'd like to sign into your Xbox account on Fortnite, it would need to correspond with the Epic games account associated with your GamerTag.

If your own GamerTag (Xbox profile) is not linking up with your Epic Games account, then you would need to

contact Epic Games concerning your Fortnite account directly for assistance in getting those two accounts to link. Just be sure you know the different account log in emails for their site specific to each of you.
