Account issues

The issue is that my Microsoft account was originally made as a child account, with certain privacy settings such as multiplayer capabilities turned off by my parent account. But whenever my parent account tries to change any of my privacy settings, the
website always says: "an error has occurred, please try again later." I have had this problem for at least 2 years now, and I'm sure other people have had this problem too. About a year ago, I changed my account into an adult account to attempt to change my
settings through only my account, but the same error message appears whenever I try to change any privacy settings. It is currently incredibly inconvenient for me because my Windows 10 PC doesn't let me use any of the apps downloaded through the windows store
without permission from a adult account, even though i have an adult account, and it won't let me use my Xbox live account for its main purpose: online multiplayer. I feel like my account may have glitched because even though your website shows i have an adult
account, my computer and my settings still treat it like a child account.

Account region issue

I just got a used XBOX 360.
I live in Cyprus, where XBOX Live is not supported, so i decided to choose UK as my country (did the same with PSN). I was planning on topping up my account with pre-paid cards.
I managed signing up for XBOX Live trial and i also purchased 4 codes for Gears of War games from ebay. I managed redeeming the first one (using a VPN on my PC) and initiated the download on my console, i left it downloading and went to sleep.

Today, i couldnt find the game in my games list. I went through the purchase history, the game was there, but the Play option just redirected me to the "My games" section. So, i decided to download it again, assuming download was interrupted somehow. And around 80% download stopped and i didnt see any error message (i might have missed it). But after some google search, i found out it has something to do with the region (probably my actual IP is d

Weird Xbox Live Account issue?

It been strange it only happened on video marketplace, fine under games?

 

I am still having this same issue, but now it wont even let me open the Microsoft store without parent permission, please respond soon, i would really appreciate you guys helping to fix my account.

Based on this post, it appears the account was created originally as a child account then later the birthday was changed in order to make it an adult account. Is that correct?

So when it comes to Xbox and Microsoft, they go based off the original birthday even if it is changed afterwards. This means that the system technically still believes the account is a child account. It can actually cause more issues when the Microsoft and
Xbox account birthdays don't match.

I do have a question, is there an Xbox at home or one available to borrow from a friend or family member?

Please try changing the
privacy and online safety settings on another network and device.

Thank you for the response! I wish that this was the case but this is not what I did. My Microsoft account was attached to a family members account as a child account a while ago, but about a year or two a go I tried to find a way to change it to an adult
account to have full access to my account. Since the family website said I could remove the account from the family, I did that. I thought that this had made my account an adult account so I continued to attempt to use it but my computer still considered it
a child account. Everything that could require permissions are locked. So I can’t use most applications downloaded through the Windows Store – or even open it at this point. I really appreciate you guys trying to help but I hardly ever use this account on
an Xbox, mainly because I only own an Xbox 360. I’m wondering if I can make a new account but use this same email? If you can find anything else out, I’d really appreciate it!

Hey Toresan33!

You can create a new account but you'd have to use a different email. Every gamertag needs a unique primary email to sign in with. It might give you an option to get a new email (probably an outlook) and if it does, you can just do what everyone else does
us the same chunk of your email that comes before the "@", or come up with something new.

Once you do have an account up, you can add your regular email to it as a security measure but you will have to sign in with that new email when you get on your console.
