Account has been hijacked

I’ve had this account since I was little and it’s always been under one email, but someone hacked me and set up a backup email and set another email to come into effect within 30 days. Thus, I can no longer access anything because the code that it sends to verify who I am goes to the backup email that the hacker has set. Even using the recovery option ( which I had to do since they’ve changed all my passwords and information) I’ve barely now gotten into the account but all I can do is sign in. They have total control. I’ve contacted live support but have had no help thus far . Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the Xbox Community. You mentioned that you have access to your account but all you can do is sign in.

To add another form of authentication follow these steps:

1. Sign in to Microsoft.com

2. Select user profile on top right of screen > My Microsoft Account

3. Scroll down to Security > click drop down > Security dashboard

4. Select Advanced security options

5. Select Add a new way to sign in or verify

When I attempted to add a new phone it did not require for me to use another method of authentication. This is the same location to remove all other forms of authentication on the account, select the email or phone used and select "Remove."

The top of the page allows for a password change as well, and two-step verification can be turned on for additional security.

Know what you are going though. Going through same thing right now just a bit ahead of you. First if you got one of those 30 day notice that it's says for them to give you full access back cancel it. How did this was by going through the activity log, and claim a log in that was mine wasn't. Then when I got to the notice once you see the notice cancel. Then it should ask if you want to cancel the inquiry into you account. Depending on what you had to do to get maybe a couple things you won't be able to do. But should be most

Tell them what your gametag was. They will ask any other questions they need to know. I am pretty sure the old tag would be enough for them to start a case on this. Let me just ask it this way. Is it better to at least try and maybe fail then not to call
at all and let them get away with it??

It tells you to have your Gamertag when you call though and this isn't my Gamertag!

Have Just had the exact same thing happen, recieved an email at 11:01 saying I had bought two sets of 5,000 XBL points and after having reset my window's live password (as it had changed!? 14:15) I logged in to find someone had added achievements to Fifa
12, a game I have never owned and I cant speak to a real person Via a telephone.
