    Account Hacked with 2FA support form unhelpful


    I have been fighting with your support website trying to talk to a human or recover my account for the past hour and a half my account was hacked and the 2FA was reset to an email that I don't have control of. The recovery form has been filled out multiple times and rejected and I need to login or have access to the 2FA to get help on the website. I need an email to your support team and this is my last resort to contact a human. please don't give me that copy paste answer I see on every similar question it isn't helpful. looking into replicating the hack is probably what I need to do next

    thing is with microsoft, you cannot use the recovery form for an account with 2fa enabled, you will need to contact support directly as there is no online way of doing this, usually microsoft refuses to touch an account with 2fa on as even they cannot retrieve codes for the account.

    Hello again, when 2FA is not active you can recover your account by filling out the form or contacting support and carrying out a procedure with them, I just find it strange that they do not mention that when 2FA is active it is not possible to recover the account.

    That is a stupid feature.
    Have not they thought that the hackers of the account can activate that aswell?

    If you had 2FA enabled on the account and you changed phone number without updating the account then you can't use the recovery form due to 2FA and support cannot access the account without the code sent to your old number as they are unable to access that account and are not allowed by law.

    The account holder has a responsibility to update their information on the account when it changes.
