    Hi.

    At 4:24 PM yesterday, I had my google account hacked. They forwarded my emails to a specific address. Once I was done cleaning up that mess, I found out my Microsoft account had also been tampered with. They had logged in, added their email to the list of aliases, changed the primary alias to the newly added email, and then removed my email from the account. I found the emails recording the events in my spam folder (available if necessary).

    As a result of this, my Xbox account (used for Halo and Minecraft) is now linked to an address I do not own, and I'm quite keen to get it back. However, I have no idea what to do. I'd like to speak to a person at Microsoft to explain myself (and I suppose I'm doing that here) but direct chatting seems to not be supported for account hacking issues.

    My main thought so far would be to fill out recovery forms for the email that the account is now attached to, but I'm not sure exactly where to go from there.

    Love it when the largest tech companies don't even blink when I tell them that a Russian hacker has stolen my information on an account that I have spent over $1000 on, and refer me to a **** account recovery forum.

    I am sorry for what happened. In this case, your only option is to fill the recovery form. In the article below you can get detailed information on how to fill the form:

    The Microsoft recovery form is available on:

    https://account.live.com/acsr

    No Microsoft employee can help users recovering their accounts. They only instruct you on how to fill the recovery form. So that's the only available option for a hacked account. If when you try to fill the recovery form you receive a message that your account does not exist anymore, unfortunately you will not be able to recover your account.

    If you talk to a Microsoft support advocate, he/she will tell you the same thing. They are not allowed and have no access to change anything on a user account. I hope you understand. I do not work for Microsoft and I do not have access to user accounts too.

    If you have any question, please let me know. And again, I'm really sorry about this.
