Account hacked and email changed I have proof of previous credentials who do I contact

Regrettably, once the email has been changed, we can no longer able to use the online form regarding Account compromised. I would suggest trying these steps and see if you can reach the Xbox customer support for them to further check or investigate your account.

Then click on "Contact us" > Account and Profile> Then choose I need a Microsoft account> Type Account Hacked > Click Next> Click on See contact options> Select from there, it should show you the option to chat with them or request a call.

Scenario 1) CookedDanny has one email address on file. The one he logs in with. One day, a ne'er-do-well compromises his email, discovers he has an Xbox account attached to it, and performs a password reset to gain access to his Xbox account and take
it over. Without any other security information on file, CookedDanny is not notified of the changes, and the stranger takes the account for a joyride, leaving quite a mess to be cleaned up later.

Scenario 2) CookedDanny has his email address on file, and an additional email as a security proof. One day, a ne'er-do-well compromises his email, discovers he has an Xbox account attached to it, and performs a password reset to gain access to his Xbox
account and try to take it over. However, when the perpetrator tries to remove the security email, the system tells him that this change will take 30 days, and sends a notification email to the security proof. CookedDanny is notified by this second email
of the attempt to change. Alerted to the unauthorized access, he secures his primary email with a new password, resets his Xbox password, cancels the request for information change, and neutralizes the stranger's attempts at gaining access to his account.

Scenario 3) CookedDanny has his email address on file, and an additional email as a security proof. One day, a ne'er-do-well compromises the secondary security email. This email is not used as a login for the Xbox account, and does not do anything for
the stranger who might have had the inclination to try to hijack an Xbox account.

Additional security proofs = increased security.

Additional security proofs =/= additional paths to account compromise.

okay thanks donkey, I will deffinately do that. And okay Landmark i will also do that, but as it stands the email is inactive- therefore so is the account. i will most likely have to ask customer support to change the email to a new one due to the previous
email being hacked by spamware

Hi guy. For the email it is a corrupted email (but still active the time to resolve my problem for get a proof) now so dont worry about that . I have just change my informations for security because i have see all my others accounts hack or get somes strange changes but i never have get my Microsoft account hacked or see with problems. And because it is a lot of time i use the olds informations and not a lot of time the news i have forgot the new informations of my account.

Wouldn't there be a Microsoft team that handles such cases for account recoveries and similar order issues? Because in fact I am at a stage where it is someone outside who has to retrieve my information to tell me again or change it (depending on what they know how to do) with as proof my old information so that Microsoft knows that it is indeed my account.

Security proofs don't keep people from accessing your account. They keep them from locking you out. Security proofs require a 30-day waiting period before they can be changed, giving you plenty of time to regain access to your account and lock the nefarious
villains out of it again. Glad your son's account issue was taken care of. Not sure why Customer Support wasn't able to assist with that. Usually they do a great job of it. Make sure all your contact info is up to date, and don't just add security proofs;
you have to verify them to make sure they take effect. To this day, I haven't seen a Microsoft Account actually get hacked. People get tricked into giving out their passwords, or other 3rd party services get hacked and people gain access to Microsoft Accounts
using the info they get from that. I would advise, make sure your Microsoft Account login credentials are unique... don't use the same email/password combo on other sites and services.
