    so my friend uses the Microsoft account for playing Minecraft but after a day of using it it got locked immediately after a day,so I jump in and make her a new account and I didn't make 2 factor authentication but it also got banned after 1 day of uses and now I was just wandering what the hell went wrong and I didn't know anything to do anymore and even if I wanted to get the code for authentication I can't,it says that the option is not available

    I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Microsoft account being locked.

    Just a gentle reminder that we are only Xbox gamers like you here in the community. We are not Microsoft employees and we do not have tools to access the details as to why your account is being locked or access to any Microsoft System.

    Based on your description, a Microsoft account will be locked if the system has detected that there is an unusual/suspicious activity or there is a violation of Microsoft Services and Agreement.

    In this case, I highly recommend you submit an account reinstatement form as a last resort to unlock your account:

    You may receive the results via email within 48 - 72 hours.

    If the account has been unlocked but you are still unable to recover your account, I just want to confirm when did you last successfully sign in to your Microsoft account? If you have not logged into your account for more than two years and it has been closed due to inactivity, you will not be able to use the Account Recovery Form to recover your account.     Did you have two-factor authentication (2FA) active on the account? If you do have the 2FA active, are you able to access the second factor of authentication?     Microsoft takes account security very seriously, that's why Account Recovery is an automated process with no human influence. If you don't have the correct information, you may not be able to get through account verification using the Recovery Form.

The Account Recovery Process can be a time-consuming process, but providing as much info as possible from the start of the process will increase the possibility of being verified by the automated process.     We recommend that you try again, up to two times per day. You may find more information or have remembered something that will help.

    A customer support advocate will not be able to help you beyond what you can do for yourself in the form. To protect your account and its content, advocates are not allowed to change account details or send password reset links.

    You can always create a new account if you’re having trouble with the recovery request and try again later when you remember something new that might help.

    Being locked out of your Xbox profile and/or your Microsoft account can surely be very frustrating and hopefully, the tips and tools we have available can assist you to get everything recovered. Sadly, we here on the forums lack the tools necessary to recover the account for you.

    If you've already used our Lost Password Solution and have filled out the online account recovery form, you would have received an email confirmation, you should have then received a response to the request within 24 hours of the confirmation email. The email will would either provide a reset link for your password, or state that there was not enough information to process or verify your identity.

    If you have not received either of those notifications, then it is recommended to fill out the online account recovery form again and attempt to provide further information concerning your account. I personally recommend that you follow the steps from the Lost Password Solution as best you can as this tool contains a lot of helpful tips and information regarding recovering your account successfully. This form is the fastest way possible to recover your account or reset your password.

    Should you be referring to a lock directly on your Microsoft account/Outlook email rather than your Xbox profile, then I would alternatively recommend the support article Unlock your Microsoft account or Outlook email to unlock the account.

    Go ahead and give the troubleshooting another try and please let us know the results.
