Account deleted due to inactivity, can no longer access Minecraft?

Hi all. Just from looking around I have a suspicion that there's nothing that can be done about this, but I figured I'd ask in a last ditch attempt.

A couple years back, I created a Microsoft account in order to migrate my Minecraft login to Microsoft. I didn't use that email for anything else, since I already had a couple perfectly good email addresses, and only created this one so that I could continue to play Minecraft. I then forgot what the Microsoft email I used was called.

As of I think nearly a year ago, the Microsoft account that was linked to my Minecraft account was deleted. I am not sure if it was actually the email that was linked to Minecraft, since I no longer have access to the email's inbox, but this is my best guess based on various verification emails. Is there no way to restore access to my Minecraft account? I've had that account for over a decade, and I'm really attached to it. I tried contacting Minecraft's support, but as of last September, they no longer help with account related questions, and redirect you to Microsoft, but I can't even figure out how to open a support ticket with Microsoft lol. Or find a number to call. So even if you don't know how to restore the account, if you could redirect me to where I can actually directly speak with someone from Microsoft support, I would greatly appreciate that as well.

Just based off of other similar forum threads, I doubt I'll be able to get my account back, but I'm holding out hope that there's somebody out there who knows how to fix this. Thanks so much for any help you can give.

    :)

Account deleted due to inactivity, can no longer access Minecraft?

    Hi Lily, I’m Ryan.

If your Microsoft account was permanently deleted due to inactivity (or for any other reason), there’s unfortunately no possible way to recover it and all data associated to it (including your linked Minecraft account in this case) is lost as well.

As per the Microsoft account activity policy, you have to access your account at least once every two years to keep it active (although there are some exceptions to this rule):
    https://support.microsoft.com/topic...y-policy-7c0a9fa7-0982-b7c6-fd72-df852b63699f

If you’d still like to contact Xbox Support directly, please start at https://support.xbox.com/contact-us - select live chat or request a call back. If you get connected to the virtual automated agent, just type ‘talk to agent’ to speak with someone. You can also DM them on Twitter https://twitter.com/XboxSupport or https://twitter.com/microsofthelps

Please note that this is a community based forum mostly with fellow users. I’m not a Microsoft employee.

    Here to help.

Why did it kick me out?

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

If you are being prompted to enter a username for Minecraft: Java Edition even though you had an account before, it is possible that your account was deleted or deactivated due to inactivity. It could also be that your account was compromised or there was a technical issue that caused your account to become inaccessible.

You can try to recover your account by going to the Minecraft website and clicking on the "Forgot password" link. This will allow you to reset your password and regain access to your account if it is still active.

If your account has been deleted or deactivated, you may need to create a new account to access Minecraft: Java Edition.

Trying to recover old Xbox 360 account but automated system offers no help because I don’t remember decade old passwords or decade old console id.

If you haven't logged into that account in a long time, it might be gone. I believe that it is 2yrs of inactivity for a Microsoft email to get deleted and possibly 5yrs for an Xbox account to be shut down. You might be able to see the account when searching for it but it will no longer be accessible.

Yes, they were Deleting old Inactive Accounts. MS has stopped this as of late, due to abuse of the selling of Accounts by individuals.

Looking for a way to migrate my copy of Minecraft to a new Microsoft email.

With that is there anyway for me to reactivate a deleted Microsoft account, especially since I wasn't the one to delete that account. It got deleted due to inactivity apparently and I never received an email about it.
