    Just over a year ago on December 19th 2022 my at the time only Microsoft account was hacked and I have no idea how it happened and they got into almost every single social media account I have. All I remember is waking up to several 2FA codes sent to my phone and about 10 or more emails telling me about my accounts being compromised. I managed to get back into everything else fairly quickly however the actual Microsoft account itself is completely impossible to gain access to because my phone number was changed and 2FA settings were also changed. I tried many times getting in touch with support and filling out the same form over and over and it never gets accepted and there's nothing I can do so I gave up with trying and had to create a whole new account which I'm now using and I had to buy games again that I already owned because of it. I had a lot of important and personal things on there and I would like to have them back however the only info I have apparently hasn't been enough to prove its my account could someone please help.

    dsanman - As Smwutches mentioned, please contact Phone Support at your earliest convenience to file an Unauthorized Access claim on your account. You can find the number in your region by following the prompts here: support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Phone support are the only ones who can help with these kinds of issues because they are the ones who will have to verify you are the owner of the accounts.

    You should also contact phone support as soon as possible and open an Unauthorized Access Ticket.
