Account Closing & The Reason

Hello Microsoft, I'm Ammar. I want to delete my account in Xbox to delete the usernames , account and etc so that everything can go back to normal. When I downloaded Minecraft Bedrock on my phone, I didn't know it was pirated, so I registered with my Microsoft account. When I registered, it thought I had purchased the game. Now, when I want to buy it, I see that I've already purchased it, but I can't because it's a pirated version. I've done the same with my other accounts, so I'll do the same with them. Do you have another solution, or is this the best solution? and thanks.

Sorry to hear about that, however, it's possible that it relies on the mobile device that you used. Kindly note that using such pirated games violates the terms of use and may also get your device banned. You may check the terms of use here: https://www.microsoft.com/legal/terms-of-use just in case you missed it.

With this, try completely uninstalling the copy of your game > restart your mobile, and then purchase it directly from your app store.

If you have a Gamertag, you have a Microsoft Points account. That'll prevent you from closing it.

There really shouldn't be any reason you actually need to close an account. You could also swap the gamertag to another email then close it. Or contact Xbox support to close your account in accordance with privacy laws.

Hey Abigail,

On Microsoft's Xbox website, search for the “Close Your Account” option under
your Account settings. From there, you will have to acknowledge a bunch of agreements and select a reason for closing your account.
To finish the closure, you have to click “Mark account for closure”.

Seriously? So if I have a subscription past due and never pay it they can ban and close my account for just that reason?

Please be informed that here in the community and even Xbox/Microsoft support can't assist us regarding account suspension or enforcement actions.
