Go to your Order history and find the order or pre-order. https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders?refd=support.microsoft.com

Select Cancel item next to the item you want to cancel. If you don't see this option, you've already been charged for the item, but you can request an exchange or refund.

Select the check box next to the item and then select the Cancel item button.

Check your inbox for an email confirming the order was canceled. If you don't see the confirmation email in your inbox after a few minutes, check your spam or junk mail folder.

I have accidentally dropped my Xbox 360 controller a couple of times and it was just fine.

I have accidentally dropped my Xbox One controller twice and it is still fine.

So far so good as far as the quality of the Xbox One controller is concerned

Hey there, so even without spilling any water on it, the Xbox one X does have a version of liquid cooling for the processors technically. I believe it’s called vapor cooling and if that has failed or broken open, the vapor or condensation might be what’s
leaking out. I definitely suggest not turning it on or even attempting to do so again in contact Xbox tech-support for a repair order.
