Accessory App change 1: Make triggers remappable by digitizing them vua software

I see your point but I mean I want buttons to be remappable in general. Not sure who that really falls on the game dev or the company designing the console. I only want certain buttons remapped on certain games so I'm more inclined to put the responsibility
on the game dev, but some native remapping isn't exactly a horrible plan either.

That's why you can download the Xbox Accesories App for the One and remap controllers. Micorsot thought of a lot of situations.

But not every one It is an incomplete mapping system. I found 2 flaws. One is x-axis flipping, and the other is triggers only being remapped to triggers when an "all digital / Fight stick" mode is needed to complete the Accessories App OS remapping situation.

Since Microsoft tok it upon themseves to make their controlelrs all remappable, these are extra features that can be downloaded.

There are only 2 predefined settings that are uneditable on Sge Genesis Classics, and I was under the default control scheme in the Xbox 1 Joystick OS.

If this is the fight stick arrangement, and assuming buttons and triggers are not cross mappable:

Becuase the triggers are only swappable with each other and are always > and <, ut’s impossible to remap to get this:

The only way you can do it is to make an "all digital mode" where the triggers are remappable as digital buttons both to and from the triggers.

Also what about the flip X axis on analog sticks?

There is the Xbox Accessories app yes, but, one of the things I wanted to swap was a trigger with one of the four ABXY buttons. That still isn't possible with the app.

Exactly, especially in the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive collection.

But I'm mainly suggesting it for all-digital button games.

Ifbyou map a digital function to an analog trigger, then there's either a threshold, (meaning trigger is pulled above a ceetain percentage, and then released below that percentage) or game programmers are going to have to think, what happen when a binary
(1 bit) button becomes 8 bit?

The hair trigger locks on the controller are the physical switches on the back which, when slid into the downward position, prevent the triggers from being pulled all of the way down. Since they prevent the triggers from being pulled all the way down
(can only go about halfway), games which need a full pull on the trigger to activate it won't work correctly. Though it is possible to keep the hair triggers in use if you use the xbox one accessories mapper to change how software reacts to trigger pulls,
if you can't use it, then just flip the switches back up for full trigger pull. The option for hair trigger has next to nothing to do with drivers or software: it is literally just switches that stop the trigger from being fully pulled so that it feels similar
to a digital input (but is still an analog trigger).

Check the range of your triggers in the accessories app, the 'active' range could have been changed at some point, and not changed back.
