    Hello,

    I've recently bought a digital PS5 and digital Minecraft for it however when I log into the same PSN account as used in on my PS4, I can't seem to access my worlds. I've gone back onto my PS4 and uploaded the game data to the cloud however when I come back onto my PS5 and I select options over Minecraft, I don't have the 'download/upload saved data' option. Instead I have 'Check Sync Status of Saved Data' and the only data this is looking at is the empty PS5 version.

    It is worth noting that the PS4 version is a disc if that matters and when I go into my game library on the ps5, Minecraft PS4 has a lock icon beside it despite being logged into the same PSN account across both consoles.

    I'm thinking I need to somehow change the 'Check Sync Status of Saved Data' option to show 'download/upload saved data'.

    Any assistant would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Sorry to hear about that, however, another way of transferring your worlds from one device to the other is subscribing to a realm. If it's not one of your options, you may follow the steps given by Mojang here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/15...

    Ensure that you also own a PS Plus subscription as advised by Mojang.

    If you have a subscription and the option to download and save data isn't available to you, then you may reach out to PS so they can look into it further.

    Do mods transfer between versions

    I believe the Minecraft mods are stored locally and are not linked with your Microsoft account. You might be able to transfer the mods by hosting a modded Minecraft world on your PS4, and then joining that hosted world with you PS5. When it asks if you want to download resources/behavior packs, click yes. I believe that this should save those mods as cached data on your PS5 version of Minecraft.

    It has been a few years since I modded Minecraft and I don't have any PlayStation console so I might be wrong on the transfer...

    Unfortunately, mods from the PS4 version of Minecraft won't directly transfer to the PS5 version. Minecraft on consoles, including the PS5, does not natively support mods in the same way as the PC version.

    It appears that, according to the official Minecraft help website, it's not possible to unlink a Microsoft account from a PlayStation account to link a different account. Please note that this restriction is imposed by PlayStation, not Xbox or Microsoft, as PlayStation determines which accounts can be linked on their platform and how it's done.
