Absolutely Disgusted with the Enforcement team at Microsoft Ivory Towers

To say that I’m incandescent would be an understatement and in fact if I do not get a satisfactory response I will consider all legal options available as I will not alllow a multinational corporation to bully my 14 year old son. Let me assure that hell will
have to freeze over before I allow such inflammatory generalitsc discrimination go unchallenged.

Let me begin with events as currently known

A notification of an enforcement ban on the 12th of April came into place until the 27th of April limiting the services of the live Xbox service by prohibiting all communication. In this notification was referral to enforcement.xbox.com for further details.

My son is dislexic and requires additional support in his school as he struggles with reading . Having checked around the Xbox for any assisted technology I could not see any nor could I see anything on the enforcement.xbox.com site. Again as I can’t
find assisted technology it maybe that I need pointed in the right direction as I would be very surprised that there was ignorance around this.

That all said my son who was very upset asked me for help so I contacted xbox live support which was very poor to say the least as they couldn’t provide anything constructive only that there would have been a violation and to contact the enforcement team.
In fact we did go round a few circles as the enforcement team can not be contacted directly but only through the website I was also reminded that the ToC it also stated that the account could be band and that as said on the message on the xbox that support
was not to be contacted for such. However could not tell me anything or contact anyone. I then asked to speak to his line manager but then got disconnected. (Keep in mind I have still no idea as to why this ban has came into place )

So this morning I decided to go to this website enforcement.xbox.com so yes as clear as day I see the enforcement ban generically stating that ban is in place until the 27th however I could appeal by pressing the appeal button. Again before doing so having
looked around again I saw no evidence supporting the ban action only the generic message. Pressed the appeal button with had an action to tick the Toc and that I needed to answer questions .

So the first question gave a scenario and clicked the correct answer but I couldn’t move forward. I quit out to which it said last chance before it would be 24 hours before I could try again . Really ? Is this how an appeal works in its attempt to be
as obstinate as possible ? Again before asking such where was the question of asking if assisteted technology was required ??

Second time 8 questions but you can not get 2 wrong so no pressure then ... but I failed yes I have a masters degree and failed on answering questions required for me to be able to appeal for something I don’t know what. You couldn’t make this up.

1 question I got wrong was apparently you can not have a purple avatar, while the second said that it was ok to give out your address and phone number. Well I never a purple avatar is not alllowed really ? Also the second I have a major issue with as
most responsible parents tell children not to give out telephone number or address irrespective of what it says on Xbox live ToC .

Now having to wait 24 hours to try again. What has this to do with appealing on something that I have no idea on what the offence has been ?? Also why when serving such ban has there been nothing but a generic statement ?

That said decided to phone the support again asking for help in this debarkle and the lady who was very nice and apologetic said that there was nothing that she could do but suggested that I come here.

So any help on this matter would be kindly appreciated.

The enforcement team are absolutely useless. Trying to babysit millions of grown up gamers and paying customers at that. I hate microsoft. Fkn social justice warriors.

The questions asked in the questionnaire are all found in the
code of conduct This is why they give you a chance to look over it and have you click the check box before you start the questions.

For privacy reasons even the enforcement team will not give out specifics on why a suspension was given because that could lead to someone know exactly who reported them and retaliation against said person.

A little background on how suspensions work:

1. A player makes a report on another player that they violated the code of conduct. This report gets sent to the enforcement team.

2. Enforcement team investigates the report.

3. If there is a violation of the code of conduct then a suspension is put onto the account. If there is not violation of the code of conduct then there is no suspension put onto the account and the account is left alone.

Contrary to popular belief the enforcement team does not suspend accounts for no reason.

 

Please do not insult my intelligence by providing such a generic response. It is rather clear you have not read any of the above that being said can any one answer to who can I make contact with in Microsoft’s live capability team to wear the enforcement
team fall under ?

 

The only way to contact the enforcement team is by submitting a case review. No other form of support handles suspensions so that is your only route to possibly list the suspension.
