I second the information above. This is the compromise that is made when you buy an Ultra-thin laptop like the Vivobook....you get something slim and light but can only have integrated graphics. Some of the newest models do offer the option of a dGPU though

If you need better graphics, you are going to need a new laptop/notebook

Not necessarily, if his laptop has thunderbolt connection he could buy an external dock that takes a regular graphics, but these are expensive.
