    Hi all, I wanted to know if I can play Warzone on 1080p @ 120 FPS on my XSX right off the bat. I play on a 144hz 1080p monitor that supports 144hz through HDMI 1.4 and theoretically should run fine through
    HDMI 2.1 port. However, when I started Warzone up on my XSX today it looked similar to my Xbox One X. Is there a way to tell how many frames I am getting, or would titles designed for Xbone be limited to 60 fps until they are updated?

    I also checked the settings > display tab on my XSX and it stated my monitor didnt support any of the 4k features (duh) but surprisingly also said it didn't support 120 FPS even though it does on my PC.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated! Cheers

    Hi,

    Have you checked the Overdrive, and Game Mode settings on the display itself? Much like a TV, you have to enable certain modes to get access to VRR, etc.

    That's not possible I'm afraid. There are no titles that the older Xbox One X can run at 120FPS. For that you'll need a Series X.

    We totally understand that you want to play Fortnite on higher FPS and resolution. However. the Xbox Series S does not support 1440p resolution at 120fps for Fortnite. The maximum resolution supported by the Xbox Series S is 1080p at 120fps. However, you can still enjoy playing Fortnite on your Xbox Series S at 1080p and 120fps.

    Two questions 'Xbox One X Enhanced' game features on Xbox One S

    120hz can be translated to 120FPS, an xbox one s only does 60fps on some games, most are locked at 30 and res drops to keep 30 sometimes.

    The s does not have enough grunt too run games a 120fps at 1080p you would be lucky to get 30 at 1080p sometimes.

    will the one x be unlocked on games with fps caps when the new consoles arrive?

    series s will struggle on demanding games to keep 60fps at 1080p. the series x will struggle to keep 60fps at 4k thats for sure. the series x will be ok at 120fps at 1080 and most likely 1440.
