    Ability to play the games you own on xbox through the cloud.


    When Kareem talked about being able to play the games you own from the cloud in 2020 does that mean it will be console streaming from the games that you own or the ability to play the games that you own on the xbox from project xcloud even when the Xbox is turned off?

    Currently the ability to stream games you own on console is limited to people who are Xbox Insiders in Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead rings. If you're not one of those, then you won't be able to play it through the cloud on an Xbox One currently. Although you may be able to try through the browser on the console.

    Developers can add the ability to cross-save whether or not a game is Play Anywhere or not.

    Games on the cloud are going to have the same save since you're playing them through the Cloud and not downloading the PC version when you were playing the Xbox version (for example).

    When you play through the Xbox app on a smart tv, you are playing through the cloud. Only games available for cloud gaming will show up. It doesn't make it possible to play just any of your games that you own, only the ones that support cloud gaming with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

    The ability to play games through the cloud is not determined by any console type. It would be determined by your subscription. If you have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you should be able to play via the cloud on either an Xbox One generation console or on a Series generation of console. It is tied to your account not the console type. Do you currently have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription? Please note that sharing of Gold through the Home console settings does not enable cloud gaming. Cloud gaming is only available to the actual account with the subscription.
