Discus and support abandoned/bot acc gamer tag in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; is there a way to report an account with suspicion its a bot ? curious due to an account currently using a gamer tag im interested in ( nassemirai )...     abandoned/bot acc gamer tag


    is there a way to report an account with suspicion its a bot ? curious due to an account currently using a gamer tag im interested in ( nassemirai ) but the account has 0 friends, 0 following, 0 gamer score and no games played at all. Either is a bot acc or just abandoned. if it is a bot and xbox can deal with it, would the gamer tag be up for grabs ?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    A Gamertag will only be available for others if the owner changed it into something else which means that even if it's inactive it will still not be available.

    Wrong.If the gamertag does not sign in for 5 years it may be freed up or if the Microsoft account linked to a gamertag does not sign in to any Microsoft services for 2 years it may be freed up.

    There is no way to know if a gamertag is inactive or not as gamertags are used on other Microsoft services,not just Xbox live..

    Just because a tag has no friends,gamerscore etc. does not mean it isn't in use.

    very likely someone else has claimed it in the interim. There are bots always looking for gamer tags being abandoned and this is a very popular character from what I can see

    Either because you don't have your acc private or someone else has that same exact gamer tag.
